Phillip Montgomery

Phillip Montgomery is an Arkansas-born, Minnesota-raised filmmaker educated in Iowa and New York, now based in Los Angeles.

A writer-director-producer and cinephile, he has worked globally across film, television, and major brand campaigns for clients like Google, Jack Daniel’s, and Uber. His work has earned a YDA Award and multiple Cannes Lions, and includes projects for Paramount+ and the History Channel, as well as films featured at the New York Film Festival and Vimeo Staff Picks. His debut feature documentary, #ReGENERATION, narrated by Ryan Gosling, won at the Seattle International Film Festival and received a national theatrical release.

Across genres, he is driven by finding the most human, surprising story and the frame that makes audiences feel it.
